Stunning entry

ELEGANT ROOMS!

Foyer

As soon as you enter the foyer, you immediately step back in time to that Victorian era.  Stunning is a word that usually comes to mind as guests enter the inn.  The wood floors and winding staircase are made from tongue-and-groove solid pine.  The hanging light fixture and the light on the newel post are both original as well as the two stained glass windows in the staircase.  The étagère is home to an antique shoe collection which includes some from occupied Japan.  Local artist, Ruth Nix, painted The Gables Inn which is notably on display above the collection.  In the music corner, there is an antique phonograph from Montgomery Wards, a zither and a violin.  However, the ornate archway, with the decorative scroll woodwork, has to be the focal point of the foyer and has served as the arch for hundreds of elegant weddings performed here at The Gables Inn.
We are very proud of the fact that we have more pictures on just a few pages of our web site than most Bed and Breakfast and even larger hotels have on their entire web site!
